Honey Extractor
A centrifuge that flings honey out of the comb without breaking it.
3D interactive
Uncap, spin and filter — and watch where the yield actually goes.
The 3D extractor needs WebGL and a wider screen. The panel still computes yield, time, purity and the flow meter from the same figures.
Educational model — the liquid is a shader, not a fluid simulation
About this model
Three things reduce what ends up in the bucket: how thick the honey is, how fast you spin, and how fine a mesh you filter through. The simulator makes those trade-offs visible — a finer filter gives clearer honey but strips pollen, and pushing the spin speed too high risks blowing out new comb.
The liquid is a custom shader, not a fluid simulation. It reads viscosity on screen, which is the point, but it is not predicting your drum.
Load frames symmetrically or the machine will walk across the floor. Start slowly and build up speed. Never put a hand into the drum while the basket is turning, and use an RCD with any electric model on a wet floor.
It is thixotropic — it gels and will not spin out of a centrifuge at any speed. Press it or crush-and-strain instead. The simulator flags this rather than pretending otherwise.
