Corrections, questions and corrections to corrections.

This is a small, independent project. We read everything that arrives and reply to most of it, though not always quickly during swarm season.

What to send us

Corrections are the most useful thing you can send. If a specification is wrong, a safety note is missing, or a recommendation does not hold in your climate, tell us — and if you can, tell us what it should say instead.

Questions about your own hives are welcome, but we cannot diagnose a colony from a description. For anything urgent — suspected disease, a colony behaving unusually, a sting reaction — contact your local beekeeping association or extension service first. They can see what we cannot.

What we cannot help with

We do not sell equipment, so we cannot quote prices, advise on stock, or handle returns. We do not provide veterinary or medical advice. We do not inspect hives, and we cannot identify a disease from a photograph with any confidence.

If you are reporting suspected notifiable disease, contact your national or regional bee health authority. That is a legal obligation in many countries and it is not something a website can do for you.
