Hive Health Analyzer
Six indicators, one radar, and a score you can argue with.
Canvas is unavailable
This browser cannot provide a 2D canvas, so the radar chart cannot be drawn. The sliders and the written analysis still work.
No WebGL required — this tool runs on the canvas API
About this model
The scoring is a stated argument, not a black box
Six indicators carry fixed weights: population 20%, brood 16%, stores 20%, mite load 22%, nest temperature 11% and humidity 11%. Mite load is inverted because low is healthy, and temperature and humidity score on distance from an ideal band rather than on being high or low.
You can disagree with those weights — many experienced beekeepers would. That is why they are written down rather than buried. The thresholds that trigger a risk flag are also stated, and they are the ones most commonly used in practice.
A score of 30 does not tell you what is wrong with your colony. It tells you which of six readings is furthest from where it should be. Diagnosis requires opening the hive and looking.
The 2–3 mites per 100 bees figure used here is a common summer threshold. Your regional guidance may differ, and it should take precedence over anything on this page.

Weight is the honest number — it tells you what the hive will not.
